Mr. Azih is endowed with a solid professional background, having worked with several top-tier law firms in Lagos. He has notable experience in shipping and admiralty law spanning the arrest and release of ships, carriage of goods by sea, international trade, charter party, collision, cargo claims, limitation of liability, cabotage compliance and ship registration, local content in oil and gas, labour law, commercial/criminal litigation, arbitration, contract negotiations and documentation, legal/legislative drafting as well as general legal advisory.
Mr Azih is reputed as an astute litigation and dispute resolution expert, with proven competence in commercial litigation, employment and labour law litigation and advisory, family law, and data privacy/consumer protection litigation and advisory. He has represented P&I clubs, multinationals and national companies, government and MDAs; and has been involved in landmark commercial and criminal litigation at both the Federal/State High Courts and appellate courts.
In 2017, he was listed as a Legal 500 Next Generation Lawyer for IMEA under Transport. His legal services experience is blended with a Head of Legal role at APM Terminals, a world-class, leading terminal operator and a member of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group. He doubled as the Business Compliance Ambassador (BCA) for Nigeria, advising management on anti-corruption, competition, foreign trade control rules, in line with international best practices.
Mr. Azih has worked on research papers/projects on arrest and detention of ships, admiralty jurisdiction/practice and procedure, liability regimes in carriage of goods by sea, cabotage and the local content Act, redundancy in employment law, and provides research assistance for the Annual Maritime Seminar for Judges in Nigeria.
He is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Nigerian Maritime Law Association (NMLA) – the local branch of Comite Maritime International (CMI). He served as a member of the Nigeria Maritime Law and Procedure Reform Committee – charged with reviewing Nigerian maritime substantive and procedural legislations/rules to make recommendations towards repositioning maritime law and practice in Nigeria in line with international best practices.

Mr. Okoye is an experienced legal practitioner with a demonstrated and strong history of working in law and the dispute resolution profession. He is is skilled in legal advice, corporate law, commercial litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Mr. Okoye was given a judicial commendation by an Honourable Judge of the High Court of Lagos State of Nigeria for excellent and in-depth knowledge of Nigerian Law and practice. He’s a Notary Public for Nigeria and a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). He is qualified to practice in United States of America.
